Eladio Carrión, Cazzu - De Chamaquitx (Remix)
Okay... maybe I'm biased because Eladio is from my town in Puerto Rico... but that's my dude - bro don't miss. But here's the thing... Eladio I expect to this level of delivery from but what you need to hear this track for is how hard Cazzu goes on this track. I mean I knew she was dope obviously but this is a level of spittin' that I honestly didn't expect. Of COURSE you have to click on an Eladio and Cazzu collab but this surpassed my expectations. I honestly had to play it back a couple of times to make sure I heard what I head and yes... it was indeed a Fuego vote for me. Argentina, you should be proud. Today... Cazzu has represented you well in the hip hop lane. A bad idea indeed.

Luci Gang - HEADLOCK
WHAT?! Okay so I stumbled upon this gem and instantly knew Luci Gang was Mundo Ritmo material. From Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea - I really don't know what to call this style... all I know is, it's GAS, and it should be in your playlist. I know Korean is not a well represented language on Mundo Ritmo (yet) so to get a taste of the type of bars she's spitting', the translation for the first vers is... Eating good, feeding good all my brothers The Mangwon studio is my bunker If I hear bad news, I shut the door That honking horn out there? Don't even bother me Move the car in front (Hurry!) No time to waste Forget the secret to positive thinking It’s just about pushing forward with stubbornness Like playing "Red Flag, White Flag" Adjusting the fit of my pants Breathing in the crisp air from the summit My table’s full of meat these days, but I’m the same as when my balance was just 100,000 won (I wear) Jeans bought at a vintage store Wearing them every single day of the week An outfit that would get me rejected from a blind date My only worry is buying into useless worries Instead of buying worry, I’m poppin' the tags Feel it—life is in 4K Keep the phone out of reach It’s all just for a laugh Why borrow trouble before it happens? Headlock, Headlock, Headlock Headlock, Headlock, Headlock Headlock, Headlock, Headlock Put your wandering thoughts in a headlock 😭✊🏾 Fuego all day.

Mary Ann Alexander - Too Much?
The girl from South India who went viral for singing R&B just went global - and we are here for it. Where do we start? It's hard to say why Mary Ann appeals to so many people but it's not hard to see or HEAR why. Striking visuals that represent her South Indian culture juxtaposed with R&B sounds?! WHAT?! That's number one. And then you see that infectious smile - the joy in her delivery... what's not to like? You instantly know this she is something special and that you can listen to more of what she's bringing. Even though what she's bringing is NOT what you would expect from someone coming from a relatively unpopular place in INDIA. Of course, if you frequent Mundo Ritmo, you're probably the type of person who enjoys the unconventional and the unexpected but even for you, this should be a welcome surprise. This is certified Fuego from everyone in the office here and I'm looking forward to covering more from her in the future and watching her grow.

Fat Nwigwe - QUEEN
If there were one expressive direction I wish the entire global south would go towards, it's whatever direction Fat managed to find on the compass right here. This video took me a while to post because I still don't know exactly what to say about it other than "wow". There's really no need to say much about what was achieved here (which is clearly Fuego), but what is more likely to be underrepresented in conversations about this production, is what it means when people of color in the United States living in poverty, can at the same time be some of the most gifted and talented Humans walking the Earth. It was just a handful of years ago when Fat and her king Tobe Nwigwe were living in poverty in Houston Texas before emerging as not just one of the greatest rappers in Tobe, but then his wife too! Now we have overwhelming proof that Fat is perhaps... dare I say... the greatest female rap talent we've ever seen? What do YOU think?

Ladrones - Arriba La L
Guadalajara Jalisco México stand up! Yo... I've honestly never heard such mastery over Hip-hop, Rock & Metal as this. Nunca en mi vida. And I know music. This is honestly my first time hearing Ladrones and I'm staying late at the Mundo Ritmo office right now to write this. Because this can't wait. I just looked up their management and they say these guys basically invented their own genre they call "Flow Pesado" (heavy flow) - which... while I'm gonna leave the interpretation of what that could mean to all of you 😹, all I have to say is... this is dope. It's a blend of Metal, Hip-Hop and Regional Mexican music that is from what I can tell so far a winner. There's no one left in the office right now to vote with me but I'm gonna go ahead and stand on business when I say, FUEGO all day. I hope we hear more bands pick up Flow-Pesado as a style. Keep an eye on these guys.

Becky G - PATRONA (Official Video)
Okay... if you're not a Becky-believer yet, this one might push you over the edge. Otra Vez! - This woman just keeps pushing the boundaries of genre and this track solidifies that as being her calling card - this is what she does. When the track starts, you're not sure what this is gonna be, then she laces up her boxing gear gets it poppin'. This proud Chicana from Inglewood California Estados Unidos not only rides this beat like a champ, but she slides back and forth between Spanish and English in a way that transcends Spanglish to something deserving of a better word. HARD is all we can think of at Mundo Ritmo HQ for now but you tell us what YOU think. As for us - this is a solid FUEGO rating without a doubt. Nothing less than absolute FIYER Becky. The only reason we give it a 95 is because we know you got more in the tank but SHEESH! Muchas gracias for this one mama - you did it again. Besos.

Gera MX, Nanpa Básico, Itchy & Buco Sounds - Tu Forma De Ser
Now this one is short and sweet, but that don't meant it ain't a banger! Wow... this smooth track surprised me on some Thugs need Love Too type vibes 😭. Surprisingly beautiful lyrics for a bunch of guys with tattoos all over, and straight BARZ in the rap breaks. I mean wow. Not that I ever doubted Gera MX but I was blown away by this one. It's a true love song and a banger at the same time which is not easy to accomplish. This track gets a FUEGO from me - just like his last banger I reviewed "Caballo Negro". Keep these comin' Gera! You're on a roll bro!

Adam Kunze - Wet (Tose) (Official Music Video)
The Boy from Burundi is a whole man now, and still bringing us the same level of classics and crisp visuals he brought us back when we knew him as Adam Music. I mean what can we say - he's got the formula down - Luxurious Locations and Lovely Ladies, and enough humility that we don't completely hate him for his luck. The self proclaimed fittest artists in Burundi is no softy though. Mister Uwikunze makes will not have you take him for a wimp or a pushover. From what we know of Adam, he is laser focused on becoming an international star and we don't doubt it at all. Our editorial team gives this track a strong BRASA vote, just because we know he's got more heat in him and we've got to give him room to grow without getting his head too big. Good stuff Adam! Keep it coming - the world awaits.

Young Miko, Rauw Alejandro - Aquel diciembre (Official)
I mean you had me at the collab already - I'm a sucker for when Puerto Rico stands together 😭✊🏾 but the video concept here, the flow, the production... love this track. So Young Miko... I don't wanna go overboard, but she's talented bro. They used to call it a "Triple Threat" when someone could Sing, Dance & Act... but WHO KNOWS how many things Maria can do! She can SPIT, she can SING, she can DANCE... AND... make sure you hang on until the end of this video to see her and Rauw's ACTING chops in the fun conclusion to this well executed video concept. This is not a mid video or track at all so we HAD to give this one a FUEGO from the team. Puerto Rico stand up! We know this is a tough time on en la Isla right now but hey... what's new?! A round of applause to Young Miko for continuing to make it rain.

Friné - Esa no soy yo
If you've never been to Cancún México and want to know what it feels like to have it spilling out of your speakers for 3 minutes and 45 seconds... here you go - you're welcome. Here's Cancún native Friné Alejo to take you on a tour of her hometown as she reminisces about reconnecting with her ex over this gloriously produced pop track. So hop in - we're going to the beach, the suit market, and of course... what's a song about your ex without going to the boxing gym 😹. But really... guys... don't mess around with Friné's heart... from the looks of it, this woman can actually REALLY fight. And it is for that reason, AND the reason that this track is actually mood medicine, that sis gets a FUEGO from me. I love it. Don't let her modest fashion sense fool you - she's got all the sensuality you would expect from a girl from the Yucatan Peninsula, and from the looks of it, with a heart of pure gold.

J Balvin, Ryan Castro - Omerta (Cortometraje Musical)
This is cool. If you've ever wanted to see J Balvin's version of The Godfather, with a mashup of Reggaeton, Reggae, Kris Kross, and Hip-Hop as the score... now's your chance. Part short film with homages from Casino, to The Godfather, to Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Michael Jackson - part musical tour de force, Omertà is ALREADY a classic that won't soon be forgotten. This is Global South artistry at its peak - no exaggeration. With serious cameos throughout from the likes of Sophia Vergara, this is not only built to be an homage to Colombian cinema, but world cinema. This is one of the most important pieces of art to come out of Urban Global South culture in a minute, so it's no wonder this landed a unanimous FUEGO rating from the Mundo Ritmo Editorial Team. We hope to see more productions at this level coming out from the Global South Urban Culture on the horizon. Great job guys - this was cool.

Jay Wheeler - Rubio
This one is gonna trick you - It starts off smooth as mashed potatoes, and all of a sudden puts all the spices of Puerto Rico on your plate. Congas, Timbales, Horns, Dance, Salsa... LOVE this track - transports you from a laundromat in any-town-USA to San Juan in 8 bars. Absolute magic. As a musician myself who knows all too well the situation with native musicians on the Island, watching Jay keep local musicians working throughout his career makes me wanna give bro a FUEGO rating every time he puts something out but this rating right here is TRULY on the merits of the music alone without including my bias I promise. Don't miss this one and don't forget to drop a comment to share your feelings about it. As usual, Puerto Rico is going through it right now and ALSO as usual, the talent and artistry coming out of Puerto Rico is what's keeping them encouraged and alive. Wepa!

Jessie Reyez, Elyanna, FIFA Sound - Illuminate (FIFA World Cup 2026™)
So let's get this straight... we've got a Colombian-Canadian singer-songwriter (Jessie Reyes) + a Palestinian-Chilean singer-songwriter from Nazareth, where JESUS is from (Elyanna)... collaborating on a World Cup anthem? I mean c'mon. Other than whoever put this together for FIFA getting a huge pay raise, what else can you ask for?! Especially when the track GOES HARD with nods to (as I counted), no less than 5 global genres in one mashup, with visuals referencing some of the most epic World Cup highlights from the past... I'm sure you can predict what rating this one got from the Mundo Ritmo Editorial Team. That's right... GOOOOOOOOL!!! 😹 Unanimous Certified FUEGO from the whole tam. Now I ain't gonna lie, this is MY first time experiencing Elyanna but she's got my attention now - what a voice - what an aesthetic. Expect to see more coverage of her on Mundo. As for Jessie Reyez... we BEEN known about this special one. And she's on a roll lately promoting her new album "A Little Vengeance" (available now - so cop that). Full FUEGO right here folks. Don't sleep.

Tainy, Rauw Alejandro & JHAYCO - Rosita (Official Music Video)
Love this track - what impresses me the most about Tainy is his ear for production that has been consistent since I first heard him years ago. This track is no exception. This is no generic Reggaeton beat behind him - this is pretty impressive. Downtempo though it may be, it does not lack nuance and sabor. Fans of every genre can appreciate this track - it is not local, but a serious global smash and that's why it gets a FUEGO from the Mundo Ritmo editorial team. Rauw & JHAYCO's contributions to this collab don't go unnoticed either so don't think this is a one sided production - everything from the features to the mix on this one makes you realize why Tainy is here to star and has a well earned reputation of being one of the kings of Puerto Rico. Salute King! Keep 'em comin' just like this! Undeniable bangers is all we expect from you now!

Anitta, Shakira - Choka Choka (Official Music Video)
I mean c'mon... Anitta AND Shakira!? You gotta click on it. A truly global track right here with beautifully representative visuals to match. You can literally HEAR Brazil spilling out of your speakers on this one, with indigenous representation in these powerful visuals. The undeniable global star power that both of these women have might lead some to underestimate their skills but you GOTTA respect the flow on this one. And the LYRICS... I mean it's no secret that you should expect metaphors when enjoying Latin American music, but when it's this thinly veiled, you don't have to be a genius to figure out what time it is, so if you can't decipher THIS hook I don't know what to tell you... Choca, choca, cuerpo con cuerpo, boca con boca... 😮 this is not sleepy music here 😄. And the way they flip it between Spanish and Portuguese... Obviously you already know this gets a FUEGO rating from the editorial team. What do YOU say? If you're able to speak at all after watching this video 😹

Feid, Yuki Chiba - Medellín Taka
If you DON'T know... you SHOULD know... Colombia's own Feid (aka FERXXO) is one of the most streamed artists in the world, so when you see him running a collab with Japan's own Yuki Chiba... you should know you're in for something special - and special this is. I don't know whose idea this collab was, but it's absolute genius. The stylistic range in just this one track is CRAZY. On visuals we got this neon... anime augmented reality thing going on. In the lyrics, we're juggling Colombian Spanish mixed and Japanese all throughout the record. THEN... just when you would've pegged this as a cool Reggaeton slapper, Yuki comes in over a hard AF hip-hop beat with the coldest verse you ever thought you'd hear from Japan, only he's transporting his freshly harvested coffee beans on the back of a donkey in the hills of Colombia 😹. Yo... this is one of the coldest collabs I've ever seen. 100% FUEGO from not only myself but the rest of the editorial team as well. What do you think?

Gera MX, Christian Nodal - Caballo Negro
This is one of those tracks that makes you pay attention to an artist. Superior lyricism, superior flows, superior visuals, superior talent. Gera MX is not new to this by any means but THIS guy is spits like he's still hungry and undiscovered. If this is your first time hearing him... congratulations - this is gonna wake you up to what a talent this guy is. I call him the Monterrey Monster, cuz this dude is SCARY. He's one of those phenoms I've been telling people about for a while and they're just now starting to catch up to what his fans have known for a long time - he is NOT playing around. Almost before he starts rapping, everyone on the editorial team started giving thumbs-up to this track. Absolute FUEGO is our opinion but what do you think? In true Gera fashion he keeps this one short and sweet, but it kicks like a donkey in heat! Bump this one!

Anitta - Desgraça (Official Music Video)
Anitta should start selling Portuguese lessons because... she got us over here wishing we could go to Brazil and speak fluently. It just seems like there would be a lot of benefits to that 😹. LOVE the rich visuals pulled out of her native culture - the metaphoric use of color and dance to convey the topic of the night (which, should not be a mystery no matter what part of the world you're from), and the DANCE in this one... WOOO... Que privilégio! I feel like I owe Anitta some MONEY next time I see her 😭. The movement ALONE is worth the unanimous FUEGO rating this one gets from the Mundo Ritmo editorial team. This video is not for the faint of heart or anyone with high blood pressure... this is for HEALTHY ADULTS ONLY. Somente adultos saudáveis 😹. See Anitta! I'm practicing for you my teacher! 😅 And I will hold onto all this money we threw around the office during this video for when we see you next. Obrigado

If there’s a such thing as spiritual mascots of Mundo Ritmo, will.i.am & Taboo are it.
